DAY 1 – Arriving in SOFIA

Bus transfer from the airport to the hotel. Accommodation. Time to rest / free time in the afternoon. If arrival in Sofia is in the morning - Afternoon sightseeing tour of the capital, a city with thousands of years of history. Overnight in 4-star Sofia Princess Hotel.<

OPTIONAL: In the evening (20:00h) - dinner in a folklore restaurant with live music and traditional dance show. Price per person - 20 EUR. Must be pre-booked at least in 1 day time.

DAY 2 – Sofia City Tour & free time in the afternoon

After breakfast (10:00h)- Driver with minibus and the guide will pick-up travelers from hotel reception and drop-off at Sheraton Hotel in downtown Sofia, for a 3-hour sight-seeing tour of Sofia on foot. The tour includes a visit to the impressive Alexander Nevski memorial Cathedral and proceeds with a panoramic of the Sofia University, the National Assembly, the Russian Church, the Rotonda of St. George, the Roman ruins, the Orthodox Church of St. Nedelia, the Central Synagogue, the remains of the city’s ancient Byzantine walls and other worth to see highlights. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight in Sofia Princess Hotel.

DAY 3 - Sofia - Rila Monastery - Plovdiv with folklore dinner show at Veselo Selo (Happy Village) Restaurant

Breakfast. Early departure to Rila Monastery with guide - 2 hours drive. Tour of the monastery with a visit to the museum - about 2 hours. Lunch - at restaurant Gorski Kut by the Rila river - close to the monastery - fresh trout & Shopska salad, hmmm! Continue to Museum city of Plovdiv. Arrival - late afternoon. Accommodation at a 4-star hotel in the center of the city. Time for a short rest - may be a half-hour swim in the open-air pool at Trimontium Hotel. In the evening - the guide will pick you up from the hotel for dinner in the famous Veselo Selo (Happy Village) - Bulgarian style restaurant, serving traditional dishes and folklore dance show programme; you can join the Horro (Bulgairan traditional dance) at the end of the show! Reservation is for 20:30h. Overnight at the Trimontium Hotel in Plovdiv.

DAY 4 – Plovdiv – Bachkovo Monastery - Wine tasting at Todoroff winery

After breakfast - Tour of the city and the Old town (2 hours). Continue with the bus to Bachkovo Monastery (1 hour drive). Bachkovo Monastery is erected in a magnificent locality along the reaches of the Assentisa River (29 km South of Plovdiv). It ranks second after the Rila Monastery both with regard to size, and to architectural, artistic and literary significance. After the visit to the Bachkovo Monastery, we will go the village of Brestovitsa, situated in the heart of Thracia – one of the symbolic villages for Bulgarian wine production. Wine tasting of 5 types of wine at Todoroff wine cellar - one of the famous Bulgarian boutique brands, with folklore program (if group is 20+ prs.) and late lunch - national cuisine. Overnight in Brestovitsa Village - in the small and cozy SPA Hotel Todoroff at the winery.

DAY 5 - Return to Sofia - free day / transfer to airport for departure flight

After breakfast Todoroff winery in Brestovista village departure to Sofia (2 hours drive).
a) Accommodation at Sofia Princess Hotel. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight and leave next day, or
b) Transfer to Sofia Airport for departure flight.
